Woman
Photoshop
July 2009

Quick Photoshop paint over of pencil sketch to add some form and contrast.

Progression.

This was a 15 minute sketch, done in my second session (the model was the same as in my first session). Overall, I'm quite happy with it, especially considering I was drawing with my sketchbook on my lap, which generally causes big problems with proportion and perspective. I left out her face because I wanted to focus on her body. I really enjoy drawing women because of the curvature of a female body (of course I love drawing men too, but for different, contrasting reasons), and this woman had a really lovely, toned figure that was a pleasure to draw.

Her right arm is a bit messed up in terms of proportion, but I am quite happy with the torso.
